New qualification Level 2 Award in Understanding Behaviour Change available now
4 September 2012
The Level 2 Award in Understanding Behaviour Change (Health and Wellbeing) is a new qualification being offered by RSPH.
This Ofqual accredited qualification aims to provide the learner with the knowledge and confidence to offer opportunistic brief advice to, or engage in brief interventions with, individuals about behaviour change which could improve their health and well being.
This qualification will enable learners to understand the importance of listening, hearing and observing when establishing appropriate relationships with individuals for the purpose of helping them to develop strategies to undergo behaviour change. It will also help learners engage with individuals, if appropriate, for the purpose of brief advice and brief interventions and to support them in improving their health and well being.
The qualification is suitable for candidates aged 14 and above and the fee per candidate for the qualification is £17.00. Assessment is by multiple choice examination.
Any RSPH Centres already approved to offer the Level 2 Award in Understanding Health Improvement; or the Level 2 Award in Applied Health Improvement or the Level 2 Award in Health Promotion can apply to offer this qualification free of charge.
