Tab 1: Course Overview

A one day training course in association with Hygiene Audit Systems

It is essential for food safety professionals, especially those responsible for training others and supervising staff, to keep up to date with new legislation, food poisoning trends and hazards, and to understand food incident procedures if you are withdrawing food from the market.

This interactive programme is a must for any food safety professional who took their qualification some time ago and needs to update their skills and knowledge.

The day consists of:

  • reviewing the Regulations and Enforcement Sanctions Act (RESA) 2008 and the role of Local Better Regulation Office (LBRO), primary authorities and enforcement sanctions
  • transmitting the facts on food poisoning statistics and recent outbreaks in the UK and abroad
  • looking at recent research findings on Campylobacter, Listeria, E.coli, Salmonella and Norovirus
  • incident procedures for food not complying with Regulation 178/2002
    food allergy awareness & labelling
