Following the successful launch of the RSPH’s Guide for World Class Commissioners. Promoting Health and Well-Being: Reducing Inequalities in December 2009, specialist training options for Commissioners and Health Improvement Specialists are now available. Continuing feedback from the field reveals a consistantly high level of endorsement for the Guide and its contents. Particular support has been expressed for its focus on professional and organisational components.

This is a two day intensive programme where Commissioners and Health Improvement Specialists work together to enhance Commissioning and service improvement skills. Day one focuses on the processes and concepts contained in the Guide. The day also seeks to develop the necessary “working relationship” between commissioners and health improvement specialists – essential for successful commissioning in this challenging area of public health. The first day is followed by a break to enable participants to trial processes and procedures in the workplace prior to returning for a second day which consolidates learning and practice issues.
 
The second day of training will be held on Tuesday 13th April 2010.
 

A one day programme is also available.

This is one of our health and well being courses. These programmes cover a range of topics related to the development and implementation of health and well being programmes within commercial organisations or the wider community. These are of relevance to anyone who is interested in or has responsibility for promoting health and wellbeing in their place of work or community.
