Standards and Competencies of Health Promotion and Behavioural Change Workforces in England Workshop
There are a few places still available for the final workshop on the Standards and Competencies of Health Promotion and Behavioural Change Workforces in England, contributions from which will form part of the final report to be submitted to the Department of Health in the spring of 2010.

The RSPH has accredited the MHPF's programme which trains those who wish to use the Care Pathway Toolkit. This is part of a project which encourages a whole system approach to the assessment of those in Out of Area psychiatric placements and local rehabilitation care.

The NGO Forum, recently hosted the launch of its new publication; 'A planning guide: health inequalities and the voluntary and community sector'. The NGO Forum, which is hosted by the Royal Society for Public Health, brings together public health experts from non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and government policy makers, to help improve public health and reduce health inequalities across the UK.
The Strategic Review of Health Inequalities is pleased to announce that the Marmot Review final report will be published on Thursday, 11 February, 2010 and will be available for download from http://www.ucl.ac.uk/gheg/marmotreview/. The aim of the Review is to propose an evidence based strategy for reducing health inequalities from 2010. The strategy includes policies and interventions that address the social determinants of health inequalities.
