Invitation to Attend the Launch of ‘Guide for World Class Commissioners: Promoting Health and Wellbeing – Reducing Inequalities’

The Royal Society for Public Health is delighted to invite 10 health promotion specialist to the launch of the ‘Guide for World Class Commissioners: Promoting Health and Wellbeing – Reducing Inequalities’ on 9th December at 28 Portland Place, W1B 1DE, 2pm.

Sir Muir Gray, director of the NHS National Knowledge Service will give the keynote speech.

This document has been developed by the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) in partnership with the National Social Marketing Centre (NSMC) and funded by the Department of Health. It is based on the many developments in the practice of health promotion and social marketing in recent years, and draws on an integrated model of health promotion and social marketing. It explains the value and characteristics of effective health promotion and social marketing, tools and techniques to help to attain those characteristics, and case studies of how to commission to achieve the best outcomes.

Advice and guidance on commissioning for health improvement has been relatively neglected compared with commissioning for services, and the guide therefore fills an important gap.

Registration is on a first come first served basis so If you would like to attend please RSVP by 20th November to Nelly Araujo, naraujo@rsph.org.uk or alternatively on 020 3177 1622.
