The Royal Society for Public Health is an independent, multi-disciplinary organisation, dedicated to the promotion and protection of collective human health and well-being.
Through advocacy, mediation, empowerment, knowledge and practice we advise on policy development, provide education and training services, encourage scientific research, disseminate information and certify products, training centres and processes.
A quarter of us will experience at least one mental health problem in any one year, and yet stigma and prejudice are still widespread. In recognition of this hidden health crisis, The Royal Society for Public Health has today accredited the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training programme in England, developed to establish a network of people with the skills and knowledge to take this essential first aid training into the community.
RSPH Supports Guidance Produced on Meeting the '10 Key Characteristics of Good Nutritional Care'
The National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA), in conjunction with other key stakeholders, has now completed a series of fact sheets which support recommendations for good nutritional standards in healthcare settings. The RSPH is supporting the dissemination of the fact sheets and the development of consistent standards in the content of nutrition training in the health and social care sectors through its participation in the activities of the Department of Health Nutrition Summit Training sub group

The RSPH is an independent charity formed in October 2008 by the merger of the Royal Society of Health (RSH) and the Royal Institute of Public Health(RIPH).
The RSPH Registered Centre logo is now ready and available for use by our registered centres.

In 2008, the RSPH in association with Canterbury Christ Church University established a new award to mark significant contributions to research and practice in the field of Arts and Health. The focus of the award in 2008 was Music and Health. This year, the award will recognise important contributions to the role of the Arts in Mental Health.
The RSPH have 1,300 square foot of office space to let. We also have two meeting rooms for hire both with outstanding views of the river thames
