Qualifications available

1. Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace

   This qualification is aimed at those who require a better understanding of health and safety for within the workplace. The emphasis is on making the employee safe for him/herself, safe for others and capable of identifying potential hazards. 'Health and Safety' takes as its starting point the fact that most accidents are attributable to a lack of knowledge or carelessness and that the key to improvement is increased awareness on everybody's part.

2. Level 2 Certificate in Pest Control

   This qualification is principally, although not exclusively, aimed at people working in pest control, who will be better equipped to carry out their professional duties safely, efficiently and humanely. It is designed to provide an understanding of public health pests and their control, and fulfills the legal requirement relating to the training of pest control technicians as set out in the Control of Pesticides Regulations 1986.

3. Level 3 Certificate in Pest Control

   This qualification is designed to provide a greater understanding of public health pests and their control for established pest control technicians who wish to progress within the pest control industry. It is intended principally for individuals already within the industry who are required to supervise other staff and to assess sites, monitor the progress of jobs and have some control over, and responsibility for, budgets and resources.
