Replacement certificates
Holders of qualifications [] from RSPH [] or its predecessor (RIPH [], RIPHH, RSH []) who have lost their original certificate may apply to the RSPH [] for replacements. RSPH [] cannot issue replacements without first being able to confirm that the person seeking the certificate has successfully completed the appropriate assessment. RSPH [] will check its records to confirm the original award of the qualification [] to the applicant, the date of the award and the grade, before preparing a replacement certificate.

Since RSPH [] has to spend time checking its records the costs of that time will be passed on to the applicant. The fee paid will not be returned even if it is not possible to issue a replacement certificate. However, in some circumstances the replacement may be provided free of charge or at a small cost (see below).
Duplicates have the same standing as the originals that they replace but they are produced in the layout currently used and may not be facsimiles of the originals.
Replacement certificates and diplomas will be issued FREE providing:
- Application is made to the RSPH [] within three months of the issue of the original certificate or diploma, and
- The person requesting the replacement certificate provides the RSPH [] with the original certificate or with a copy of the original RSPH [] pass list showing the certificate numbers, and
- The application is made on the appropriate form, completed in full.
Replacement certificates provided under this arrangement will be free of charge irrespective of the reason why a replacement is required.
A fee of £20 will be charged for a replacement certificate or diploma if:
- The application is made to the RSPH [] on the appropriate form three months or more after the issue of the original certificate and one of the following is provided with the application:
- A copy of the original RSPH [] pass list
- The original certificate
Candidates wishing to make use of this facility will probably need to enlist the assistance of their tutor in order to provide the necessary supporting documentation.
A fee of £50 will be charged if:
- The above documentation is not provided or is incomplete. The applicant must provide as much information as possible on the appropriate form. In these circumstances the RSPH [] cannot guarantee to be able to provide a replacement.
The RSPH [] will monitor the issuing of free replacement certificates and retains the right to limit or withdraw the service or to alter the arrangement without notice if, in its judgement, it is adversely affecting the interests of the RSPH [].
