Level 3 Certificate in Pest Control

This qualification is designed to provide a greater understanding of public health pests and their control for established pest control technicians who wish to progress within the pest control industry. It is intended principally for individuals already within the industry who are required to supervise other staff and to assess sites, monitor the progress of jobs and have some control over, and responsibility for, budgets and resources.

Holders of this qualification will have a good understanding of the biology and control of invertebrate and vertebrate pests, site surveys, the role of the supervisor, administration of pest control services, staff training and the requirements of health and safety and pest control legislation. The qualification is divided into two units, Biology and Control of Vertebrate and Invertebrate Pests and Supervisory Aspects of Pest Control.

Each unit will be assessed by a two-part examination of two and a half hours duration.
