Diploma in Nutrition and Health - Level 4

This qualification is designed for everyone (including the general public) interested in the practical application of the principles of nutrition and healthy eating. It will be particularly useful qualification for those working in the following areas: health care professions including nurses and those working in residential homes; hospitality; sport; and health & beauty.

Holders of this qualification will have a good knowledge and understanding of the principles of good nutrition and healthy eating and to ensure they are able to apply these principles in a practical and responsible way in the course of their daily work and lives.

The programme is usually delivered over eight to ten days; candidates can follow a full or part time instruction. Assessment is by two examinations, one three hour general paper, and one two hour specialist paper and two assignments. Candidates may choose either of the following specialist papers: Nutrition & Health in the Community or Nutrition & Health for Sports and Leisure.
