RSPH is delighted to welcome Anne Heughan as a new RSPH trustee.
Anne is a State Registered Dietitian who has worked in both the public and private sector on food, nutrition and health policy at global, European and UK level. She has been active in many government and industry committees.
Anne was co-chair of International Food and Beverage Alliance between 2011 and 2015 and led many consultations with the World Health Organisation and the Food and Agriculture Organisation.
For the last 23 years, Anne worked for Unilever and was recently Global External Affairs Director responsible for ensuring that Unilever commitments on over and under nutrition were relevant to the dynamic external agenda.
Before joining Unilever, Anne was Deputy Director of the Coronary Prevention Group which was a UK charity solely concerned with putting the prevention of coronary heart disease onto the public agenda. She worked with international academics and NGOs to develop campaigns around school meals, workplace wellness, children and heart disease, and graphical nutrition labelling based on nutrient profiles.
Anne is an Honorary Member of the British Nutrition Foundation. She is also a member of the British Dietetic Association, the Nutrition Society and the Guild of Food Writers.
