In order to develop this new platform we are offering a small number of complimentary places on our Ofqual accredited Level 2 Award in Understanding Dementia qualification, developed with our partners, the Alzheimer’s Society.

We will be running the pilots as part of our training delivery programme and these days will be an opportunity to explore not only our dementia qualification and training but how our e-assessment works first hand.

Level 2 Award in Understanding Dementia: 27 October & 25 November

This one day training will enable your staff to understand how dementia is unique to the person, identify the functions of the different areas of the brain, state how damage caused to brain function can affect a person’s experience of dementia and everyday living and understand how a person with dementia can live well within society.

The multiple choice e-assessment will take place at the end of the training and will be invigilated by an RSPH trainer.

Level 2 Award in Understanding Dementia - train the trainer: 5 November

If you are looking to develop your trainers we are also running a ‘train the trainer’ course. Over one day you will have scope to further develop your understanding of dementia, develop delivery techniques, share teaching resources and acquire the skills to cascade your knowledge to help improve the experience of those with dementia.

Attendees will be able to take their multiple choice e-assessment after the training at a time of their own choice using an online invigilation process. All pilots will take place at our offices at 59 Mansell Street, London, E1 8AN.

RSPH has a limited availability of free places on these training programmes, so if you are interested in finding out more please email us before Friday 16 October.
