Making Every Contact Count (MECC) for mental health is a public health approach that teaches people in public-facing roles to integrate conversations about mental health into everyday interactions at work or in their community, and to signpost people if they need further support.

How long does it take to complete?
The MECC for Mental Health course consists of 1.5 hours of online study that you can undertake at your leisure. Your progress will be saved inside the RSPH Learn LMS and you can come back to it at your own pace.
Assessment and certification
Once you have completed the course you will receive a CPD completion certificate.
How do I access the course?
Once you have registered for RSPH Learn and purchased the course, you can access it via the learning catalogue. From there, you can take the course yourself or assign it to a team member.
Can I take this course in person?
Yes! If you would rather gain your MECC for Mental Health certification in person, you can take the qualification through one of our approved and accredited training centres.
