Suicide First Aiders provide life-saving support on a daily basis. Our accredited Level 4 qualification will help you to understand the factors that may lead to suicide thoughts and behaviour and build you knowledge of the key components of suicide prevention.

What is suicide first aid?
Suicide First Aid is a recognised training course providing foundational knowledge and practical skills needed to effectively intervene in situations where someone may be contemplating suicide.
This accredited qualification, designed in partnership with the National Centre for Suicide Prevention Education and Training (NCSPET), is designed to help you to develop you to develop a greater understanding and confidence to intervene with people at risk of suicide, and to help create suicide-safety as a first aid approach in the workplace.

The Level 4 Award in Suicide First Aid will be valuable for to anyone working in health and social care or in high-risk settings, who is looking to support individuals who may be at risk of suicide thoughts or behaviour.

How long does it take to complete?
The qualification takes a total of 60 hours to complete, including 16 hours of guided learning, followed by completion of a portfolio of evidence.
