Level 3 Violence Prevention and Reduction in the Workplace

Violence Prevention and Reduction in the Workplace is to support individuals in workplace settings to develop a working knowledge of practices to prevent and reduce the incidence of violence and abuse

This course is aimed at team leaders and supervisory staff working in a range of workplace settings, such as education, transport and retail. Please contact us if you would like more information about the suitability of this training for your role.

The course is delivered over two days of online training, live with one of our expert trainers, 9:30am-5pm.

Once completed, you will be able to support your teams to deal with violence prevention and reduction in your workplace.

The training

Learners will develop the appropriate knowledge and skills to understand the causes of violence and abuse, to take appropriate action to prevent it from occurring and to respond effectively to any incidents that do occur, and to demonstrate leadership in supporting teams to contribute to violence prevention and reduction. Learners will support learners to gain skills and knowledge related to:

• Factors affecting the risk of violence and abuse in the workplace

• Principles of practice in preventing and reducing violence and abuse in the workplace

• Principles of practice in responding to incidents involving violence and abuse in the workplace

• Demonstrating leadership in supporting teams to prevent and reduce violence and abuse in the workplace

Assessment

Assessment for this qualification will be done by workbook and practical presentation during the course. Both of these elements will be submitted by the trainer to RSPH for verification and submission to the RSPH Awarding Body. Learners will be issued with a qualification certificate for a Level 3 RSPH Award in Violence Prevention and Reduction in the Workplace if they meet the assessment criteria.
