Train the Trainer: Health Inequalities and Core20Plus5 for Neighbourhood Health Workers

RSPH is offering a trainer the trainer in Public Health with a focus on Core20PLUS5 for individuals looking to develop their training skills and capabilities in upskilling others to reduce health inequalities and improve community health and wellbeing within their existing job and volunteer roles.

This training is suitable for anyone working in delivering training for neighbourhood health and wellbeing roles, such as independent trainers, local authorities, third sector organisations, charities, health and wellbeing organisations, healthcare and more. Existing RSPH Centres are welcome to join this training. Please contact us if you would like more information about the suitability of this training for your role. 

The train the trainer is delivered over two days of online training, live with one of our expert trainers, 9:30am-5pm. 

The RSPH Level 2 Award in Public Health qualification is the core component of this training, and with added support to develop the skills to apply the Core20PLUS5 framework in communities. Therefore, to deliver this, you will need to register with RSPH as a centre. 

The training  

Trainers will support learners to gain skills and knowledge related to: 

• Roles and responsibilities for supporting public health 

• The importance of health promotion and disease prevention 

• How to identify and manage public health risks 

• Communication and behaviour change skills 

• Core 20 plus 5 principles and how to put them into practice 

The end user training is delivered over two full days, with delivery methods and format being up to you as the trainer. Learners will need to sit an assessment to gain their Level 2 Public Health, with online or paper assessments available for this qualification.
