The learning outcomes include coverage of the nutritional requirements for a healthy diet, the effect of diet on health and the importance of hydration. These principles are then applied to fulfilling the dietary requirements for physical activity and sport.
The qualification is divided into two units: Principles of Nutrition and Nutrition for Physical Activity and Sport. The qualification will be awarded to any learner who attains the learning outcomes for these units.
Successful learners will be able to claim 16 REPS CPD points from SkillsActive, the Sector skills council for this qualification.
