First Aid is essential knowledge in the workplace. Our accredited, nationally-recognised Level 3 qualification will help you to deal with a range of workplace first aid situations and fulfil the role of an emergency first aider in an occupational setting.

What is Emergency First Aid at Work?

The RSPH Level 3 Award in Emergency First at Work supports you to provide appropriate and effective care and manage life threatening conditions, injuries and minor illnesses, and to provide emergency first aid in a workplace setting in a prompt, safe and effective manner.

This qualification is regulated by Ofqual.

Who is this qualification for?

The Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work is valuable for anyone looking to be trained as a recognised First Aider in a professional, voluntary or community setting. You will have the training, knowledge and confidence needed to make your workplace safer and step in when first aid is neccessary.

Key skills 

By completing this qualification, you will be able to show that you are a recognised Emergency First Aider, able to meet the requirements of First Aid at Work Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 Guidance on Regulations (L74) and Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines.

How long does it take to complete? 

The qualification takes a total of  hours to complete, including 6 hours of guided learning time, followed by a 25-minute multiple-choice examination. There are also a number of practical assessments that are completed during the training.
