First Aid is essential knowledge in the workplace. Our accredited, nationally-recognised Level 3 qualification will help you to deal with a range of workplace first aid situations, and to fulfil the role of a first aider in an occupational setting.
What is First Aid at Work?
The RSPH Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work supports you to provide appropriate and effective care and manage a range of conditions, injuries and illnesses that require first aid in the workplace or occupational settings.
By completing this qualification, you will be able to show that you are a recognised First Aider, able to meet the requirements of First Aid at Work Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 Guidance on Regulations (L74) and Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines.
This qualification is regulated by Ofqual.
Who is this qualification for?
Level 3 Award First Aid at Work is valuable for anyone looking to be trained as a recognised First Aider in a professional, voluntary or community setting. You will have the training, knowledge and confidence needed to make your workplace safer and step in when first aid is neccessary.

The qualification will help you to deliver key skills and knowledge in relation to:
- Emergency First Aid in the Workplace
- Recognition and Management of Injury and Illness in the Workplace

How long does it take to complete?
The qualification takes a total of 22 hours to complete, including 18 hours of guided learning time, followed by two multiple-choice examinations. There are also a number of practical assessments that are completed during the training.
