An Update from the RSPH Qualifications Team

At this difficult time, the RSPH Qualifications team are continuing to work from home. We are still able to fulfil bookings for exam papers, but we are advising centres not to run examinations or training which have multiple learners, as infections spread easily in enclosed spaces. We understand this may not be possible for candidates where a qualification is required for progression or employment. In these situations, we can allow centres to carry out examinations using social distancing guidelines within the workplace or via remote training and invigilation.

We are currently unable to meet our normal delivery times for exam papers and processing express delivery requests. However, examination papers will be delivered within 14 working days from receipt of the booking. Please be assured that we will work with you so you receive your exam papers in time for your examination.

In some cases, we will be able to email a copy of the examination paper to you for printing at home. However, in these circumstances, we will need all electronic copies of the examination paper to be deleted once the papers have been printed. Please get in touch with us for more information about home examination.

As we are unable to receive scripts from the office, please do not post completed OMR forms, examination scripts and centre-assessed coursework to our London office, and instead retain these securely until the office re-opens. If it is essential that you submit your scripts for marking or assignments for external verification and receive the results, please email scanned versions to us using WeTransfer.

If you send us OMR forms, please follow the steps below:

  • One file containing the register and all the MCQ scans
  • File to be saved as a pdf
  • 150dpi minimum in colour
  • Scans should be of both sides of all sheets
  • Scans should be as straight as possible – skewed scans will require hand marking
  • Suggested file naming convention should be Centre Number_Date (YYMMDD) e.g. 4093_200324

We will be unable to print certificates until we return to our London office, but you will be able to obtain results of examinations that have been marked via the centre area and we can issue you with eCertificates. If you would like to use this option, please contact our Qualifications team.

We will inform all of our centres as soon as possible if there are any changes to these arrangements but as always, the safety of centres and learners is of paramount importance to us.

Please refer to the latest Government advice regarding coronavirus and for further information on remote assessment and invigilation, please contact Jennifer Peprell.
