The RSPH Level 4 Diploma for Oral Health Practitioners is now available for RSPH centres to register to deliver. The qualification focuses on training around oral health procedures and teaching learners how to develop community treatment plans. It also looks at how oral health fits into the public’s overall health and wellbeing, giving learners the personable as well as practical skills needed to be an oral health professional. The Level 4 qualification comes with the added benefit of being developed to meet the requirements of the Level 4 Apprenticeship for Oral Health Practitioners.

The qualification has been tailored for people who are oral health champions, practitioners or oral health community educators. As well as for people who have just started out in oral health, it’s also designed to be a great refresher for people who have been dental care professionals for years.

Richard Burton, RSPH Director of Qualifications said:

“We’re really excited to have our first new qualification for 2021 already lined up. It’s never been more important to continue to provide training to public health professionals. Despite the challenges we’ve faced, I’m proud that RSPH has been able to continue to innovate through developing new courses and ways that centres can deliver them safely.”
