The RSPH held its annual Awards Ceremony on the 21st September to recognise the achievements of learners across our qualifications. Certificates were also presented to winners of the Arts and Health Awards.
We were also delighted to present Honorary Fellowship of the RSPH to Lord Hunt of Kings Heath and to Professor David Harper CBE, Director General of Health Improvement and Protection at the Department of Health. Lord Hunt was also awarded Honorary Membership of the American Public Health Association.
The Young Achievers’ Award was awarded to John Goulding from Clubs for Young People, who was presented his certificate by Dr Selwyn Hodge, RSPH Chair, and Peter Birch, Chair of Clubs for Young People.
We were delighted to welcome Lawrence Waterman, Head of Health and Safety for the Olympic Delivery Authority, as our guest speaker.
Dr Hodge said “The Awards Ceremony once again proved to be a fantastic opportunity in which to recognise a wide range of achievements and acknowledge the dedication given to public health. I would like to offer my congratulations once again to the Award winners.
