RSPH is launching a campaign to challenge young people to adopt healthy behaviours and raise awareness of the benefits of living healthier, more active lives.

The ‘Dream it. Try it. Live it.’ campaign will cover and range of topics including mental wellbeing, physical activity, healthy eating, body image and the importance of sleep.

Over the next few months RSPH will be linking with national and international awareness days to promote healthy lifestyles for the lead up to the youth-led campaign launch on 1 August 2016.

The campaign will be led by a team of volunteers aged 14-21, with support from RSPH staff. These volunteers will direct the campaign as well as conducting interviews, research, making and editing promotional videos, writing blogs and working with a wide range of public health and corporate organisations.

Shirley Cramer CBE, Chief Executive at RSPH, said: “At RSPH, we are passionate about empowering young people to make informed decisions about their own health and wellbeing, particularly through the youth health champion qualification and our support of the wider youth health movement. ’Dream it. Try it. Live it.’ is a natural progression of this work. Using a youth driven campaign we hope to inspire more young people to get active and adopt healthy behaviours that will stick with them for life.”

Show your support of the campaign by following the Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat (Dream it. Try it. Live it.) accounts. Updates will also be posted on youth health movement website.
