We are pleased to announce the launch of the new Youth Health Champion Campaign Award.

This award, supported by Public Health England, will recognise excellence in the design, delivery and impact of a health campaign provided by young people, for young people.

Youth health champions are young volunteers who deliver health campaigns for other young people in schools, youth groups or within their communities. We are inviting these groups to tell us about a successful campaign they have run which has had an impact on the health and wellbeing of other young people.

The campaign can be based on any health or wellbeing topic such as healthy eating, increasing physical activity, emotional wellbeing, or sexual health. Campaign messages can be delivered by any means such as school assemblies, community events, activities, posters or on-line campaigns.

There will be a prize of £500 for the organisation with the best campaign, which can be spent to support future health campaigns.

Applications for the award should be made by the adult co-ordinator or mentor who supports the youth health champion group. The deadline for submitting applications is 23 May 2016.

The award will be presented to the winners at the Youth Health Movement conference in London on 14 July.
