Event details

A unique two-day event with clear, up to date methodology produced by experts within their fields is key to the provision of robust, repeatable and accurate chemical and microbiological analysis data. The Standing Committee of Analysts (SCA) has provided laboratory analysts in the UK, and throughout the world, with validated analytical methodology since 1972.

The methods are given and shared freely to ensure quality and consistency in the chemical and microbiological analysis of water, waste water, soils, and related materials, and are typically the methods prescribed by industry regulators. The best way to ensure that the SCA remains relevant, and produces the methods laboratories need now, and in the future, is to bring together analysts, quality managers, regulators, instrument manufacturers and laboratory customers to explore the methodologies relevant to the 21st century laboratory.

This two-day conference will showcase the recent progress of the SCA, discuss new and emerging analytical challenges, while also providing opportunities to network and share experience with colleagues throughout the industry.

This event will be of interest to laboratory technical and quality staff, operational staff, and consultants and professionals across a wide range of industry sectors and specialism’s who depend on SCA methodology to enable them to obtain analytical results they can confidently present to regulators and customers. By the end of this two-day event water, waste and soils analysis laboratories, regulators, and purchasers of analytical services will have a clearer understanding of future laboratory regulation, and how the SCA, with continued industry support, will provide the methods needed to meet the challenges current and future regulation presents.
