Please note this course is delivered over two-days of virtual training running from 10am-4pm on Teams. You must attend both dates.
Overview and objectives:
The course will support individuals to develop a working knowledge of practices to prevent and reduce the incidence of violence and abuse in the workplace. By the end of the course you will be able to:
- understand the causes of violence and abuse,
- take appropriate action to prevent it from occurring,
- respond effectively to any incidents that do occur,
- demonstrate leadership in supporting teams to contribute to violence prevention and reduction.
This course is aimed at team leaders and supervisory staff working in a range of workplace settings, such as NHS, education, transport and retail. It is mapped to the assessment criteria for the RSPH Level 3 Award in Violence Prevention & Reduction and designed to prepare you to complete the workbook assessment for the qualification.
The course fee is £275.00 per person and includes tuition, all course materials, assessment registration and certification. RSPH Members benefit from a 10% discount.
The course is assessed through workbook submission.
Payments can be made by direct bank transfer (BACS), invoice, or over the phone by credit/debit card. Invoicing and receipts are issued for your records.
Please note we operate on a first come first serve basis and your place is only confirmed once you have paid the fee.
Substitutions can be made at any time. If notification of your intention to cancel is received more than 2 weeks prior to the course, a full refund will be made.
Cancellations received after this time will receive no refund. Please note that notification of cancellation must be made in writing.
If the minimum number of bookings for the event is not met, RSPH will inform you at least two weeks prior to the event date. You will have the choice to an alternative date or to withdraw from the booking and receive a full refund.
