This seminar focuses on mental health provision in Wales, including providing appropriate regulation, funding and staffing for mental health care and the quality and ease of access of mental health provision.
It will be an opportunity for key policymakers and stakeholders to assess the Welsh Government’s recently launched delivery plan for the second stage of the 10-year ‘Together for Mental Health’ Strategy including the challenges for implementation and wider issues around mental health provision in Wales.
Sessions will consider issues in mental healthcare in the context of wider society, including coordination between mental health services and frontline services within housing, social care, policing and primary care as well as cross-cabinet co-operation at a Welsh Government level. There will also be discussion on providing appropriate mental healthcare for all communities.
