This seminar will be an opportunity to discuss the next steps for NICE - looking at shared decision-making, measuring output and market access.

Attendees will assess the future of NICE across health and social care - including discussion around developing new guidelines, decommissioning of services, and how best to measure the impact of their output to drive quality of service.

Delegates will also discuss the role of shared decision-making in improving patient involvement and greater alignment with the Getting It Right First Time programme to reduce variation in care.

Planned sessions examine the landscape for market access to medicine and technology, how the appraisal and approval process is evolving as well as the working relationship between NICE and NHS England, particularly in regard to the managed access fund and specialised services.

Following the publication of the Life Sciences: Industrial Strategy earlier this year, sessions will also consider the opportunities for promoting the adoption of innovative approaches and products in healthcare and the role of the Accelerated Access Collaborative.
