Delegates will discuss how primary care is engaging with Integrated Joint Boards (IJBs) - particularly in relation to influencing primary care funding and decision-making processes - and the wider health and social care community, as well as steps that can be taken to develop ways of working which best utilise the skills of all primary care professionals.

They will also consider next steps for the introduction of the forthcoming GP contract from April 2018, and its potential to reduce workloads and enhance quality of care. Further sessions will bring out examples of best practice from within primary care, particularly within the context of challenges arising from health inequalities and changing demographics, as well from competing priorities in urban and rural settings.
