Event details

Sing To Beat Parkinson’s (STBP) have developed a training programme for group facilitators and people wanting to set up new groups. We have formed partnerships with Snape Maltings at Aldeburgh, where we hold an annual two-day residency, Morley College in London, Folkestone Quarterhouse, University of Derby and Canterbury Christ Church University.

STBP has adapted its training programme to be delivered online whilst we are still unable to gather in person. We will be delivering 5 independent sessions on Saturday mornings, starting on October 17, with the final session on December 12. Participants can choose to register for individual sessions, at a cost of £20 per session, or book the full programme of 5 sessions for £85.

Before the first session, we will be sending out a link to a film from our January 2020 training residency at Snape Maltings, that features Prof. Grenville Hancox leading a Sing to Beat Parkinson's group session. This film will be linked to some of the session content and will be exclusively available to people who have registered for the training. A short film that encapsulates our approach, with testimonies from previous participants, is available to view here.
