Cancer Research UK

If you are working or volunteering to improve the health and wellbeing of people in your community, you’re in a powerful position to make a real difference by encouraging others to take positive action for their health.

Conversations can save lives. Join Cancer Research UK’s free online course ‘Talking About Cancer: Reducing Risk, Early Detection and Myth-busting’ to find out how talking about cancer can make a real difference in helping people reduce their risk.

Did you know that around 4 in 10 cases of cancer could be prevented, largely through lifestyle changes?

The course will show you how to:

  • Empower people to reduce their cancer risk with healthy lifestyle changes
  • Encourage people to be aware of what’s normal for their body and visit a doctor promptly with any concerns

You’ll learn via interactive quizzes, videos, articles, discussion boards and downloadable resources. The course takes around three hours at your own pace, on any computer or mobile device.
