Shere Surgery & Dispensary

 

Shere Surgery & Dispensary is founded on the principle of high quality care for all and believes no-one should lose access to healthcare when they lose their home. The surgery team developed a new locally commissioned service to provide care for people experienceing homelessness in Surrey Hills, a group that is underserved by local services and often unrecognised. They have created a welcoming and non-stigmatizing environment through adapting their services they provide and have built support links with social and welfare services. 

I am delighted that the work of Shere Surgery and Dispensary has been recognised and shortlisted for the RSPH Health & Wellbeing Awards 2021. Their outstanding team have done an amazing job enabling people who find themselves homeless to register with a GP and access the health and care services they need.
