RSPH has had a long interest in food safety as a means of protecting public health and is dedicated to working with professionals to share best practice.

To support this vital area of public health, it has relaunched its Special Interest Group (SIG) which will host webinars and events that will enable members to stay up-to-date on current food-related issues such as food poisoning updates, reducing food waste, allergens and food crime.

As part of the many benefits of RSPH membership, RSPH runs a number of SIGs to cater for specific areas of interest within public health, which also includes those for arts and health, water, and health and wellbeing.

Led by reknowned food safety expert, Dr Lisa Ackerley CMCIEH FRSPH, the Food SIG will be of interest to anyone interested in food, whether professionally or as someone who just enjoys it.

The SIG's first webinar, Campylobacter: facts and prevention strategies, will take place on Monday 18 September 2017 and is free to register.
