RSPH is delighted to announce the launch of a new eLearning module, 'Navigating Menopause: Supporting Yourself and Others,' developed in response to the tremendous success and positive feedback received from our MECC for Menopause programme.

The aim of the course is to provide fundamental information on menopause for anyone, regardless of their own menopausal status and previous knowledge on the topic.

This module covers three key topics:

  1. Introduction to the menopause
  2. Having a Menopause conversation
  3. Workplace: A Collaborative approach to working well

By completing this module, you will not only enhance your knowledge but also earn a CPD certificate to showcase your professional development. Additionally, you will have access to a comprehensive resource guide to support your ongoing learning and practice.

The following has been said about the MECC for Menopause training programme which has functioned as the content base for our eLearning programme:

I believe it is one of the most important training sessions I have attended. Even though I will never go through the menopause myself, many of the staff I am responsible for will. Therefore, I think it is imperative that ALL leaders no matter what gender they are, have the knowledge, and awareness of symptoms to empathise with their staff. As a staff member, knowing that all leaders have attended the training has reassured them that we value the issues the menopause can cause and are there if they need to talk, whether that is just in general mental health terms or more specifically, the menopause. I see no stigma in me as a male talking about the menopause. It affects many people and talking can massively help reduce worry, anxiety and other symptoms. It's always good to talk and I'm proud that I have received menopause training.” – Deputy Principal attending the MECC for Mental Health training in January 2023

This eLearning course is free for RSPH members and £25 for the general public
