Buildings, including hotels and other accommodation sites, offices, health clubs, commercial buildings etc. that have been closed or partially closed during the COVID-19 pandemic pose a significant risk of causing severe illness and even death from Legionnaire’s disease when reopened unless suitable precautions are taken both at the de-commissioning and re-commissioning stages.

COVID-19 patients are at increased risk of secondary infections, including those derived from water such as Legionnaire’s disease. Those designing, installing, commissioning and managing water systems and associated equipment during the pandemic must ensure water systems do not pose a risk to these patients. This webinar will also cover some of the risk factors and how to ensure water systems within healthcare and non-healthcare premises remain safe.
