Who is it for?

This programme is suitable for anyone intending to develop their role as health champions in the workplace, community or other settings.

Experienced trainers

Our experienced trainers can deliver it in-house for a group of your colleagues. We also offer a one day Train-the-Trainer version either in house or an open programme. This provides an essential introduction to the qualification and participants will come away with resources to enable them to deliver the programme themselves.

 

 

Youth Health Champions

Our training provides knowledge and vital practical skill sets to young people.

The aim is to harness their natural energy and enthusiasm to facilitate peer-to-peer education about lifestyle related risks to health.

Over four days your young people will cover:

  • Why health inequalities exist
  • How to research local health improvement facilities
  • How to deliver health improvement messages
  • One specialist health issue, for example sexual health, physical activity or emotional wellbeing
Who is it for?

It is suitable for all young people intending to act as ‘health advisors’ to their peers. This can be in a variety of settings including schools, universities, colleges, youth clubs and associations, young offender institutions and other youth settings.

Improving the Public’s Health

It is increasingly important that more and more professionals understand how they can actively engage in improving the public's health.

This programme has been designed to ensure that they are both competent and confident in doing so.

It is suitable for professionals in all sectors who have the opportunity to improve the public's health as part of their roles, including blue light services, housing and education, sports and leisure, social care providers, as well as a wide range of healthcare professionals.

Understanding Health Improvement for Pharmacies 

This programme has been designed specifically for Pharmacies who are actively working to promote improvements to the health and wellbeing of the communities they serve.

It focuses on the inequalities associated with health, explores ways to communicate health and wellbeing messages as well as covering current policies for addressing public health issues.

This version of the course is tailored to the pharmacy setting and meets the criteria for the Health Living Pharmacy framework. Participants who successfully complete the assessment will achieve the RSPH Level 2 Award in Understanding Health Improvement qualification, which forms part of the criteria for Level 1 - Healthy Living Pharmacies as set out by Public Health England.

Who is it for?

Healthy Living Pharmacies are now required to have at least one full time equivalent health champion on site. This course is suitable for all pharmacy staff supporting health and wellbeing campaigns within the pharmacy or looking to take a more active role in improving the public’s health.

We have experienced trainers who deliver this programme over one day at our London office, and can also deliver to cohorts of up to 12 in-house at specified locations.
