  1. Private Water Suppliers-Learning About Best Practice in Action

    2014 sees the end of the 5-year period set for statutory compliance with the Private Water Supplies Regulations and thus the EU Drinking Water Directive. Local authorities and those responsible for private supplies have major challenges facing them this year and next, including completing risk assessment programmes and getting compliance with the legislation. This conference brings together many areas of best practice and solutions to common problems.

  2. Diploma in Occupational Medicine - Autumn Course - 2014

    The RSPH is approved by the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM) to run the FOM course to prepare candidates for the Diploma in Occupational Medicines written examination and the oral examination based on a portfolio.

  4. After Elliott: securing the integrity of our food supply

    21 October 2014

    The final report from the Elliott Review into the integrity and assurance of our food supply networks is due to be published by the end of July 2014. Its contents, whilst unknown, will call for action. The interim report published following the horsegate scandal has already detailed major weaknesses in the UK supply chain networks and identifies measures to address them.

    This conference brings together experts in the field to explore the importance of mental wellbeing and how it can be measured, evaluated and improved.

  6. Practising the art of behaviour change

    Behaviour change programmes have become a central part of public health interventions and following on the success of last years’ conference, our new programme will take a fresh look at innovative interventions, building on the evidence base and change in systems in order to provide delegates with the knowledge to develop successful programmes with a demonstrable impact.

    The conference will cover the pathogens of most potential risk; the situations and systems which pose the highest risks; the legal consequences; the risk assessment process; the means of managing the risks by implementing good health and safety practices and appropriate control measures to enable consumers to have an enjoyable, healthy and stress free experience.
