For a number of years, RSPH has formally recognised learners who achieved the highest score that year for their qualification.
This year, these awards have been expanded to include centres, tutors and learners taking qualifications that are not assessed by an examination. They have also been renamed collectively as the Hygeia Awards after the Greek goddess of health and well-being.
While most awards are not formally open to enter, there are three (indicated below) which will be made based on nominations. Please note that the deadline for nominations is 13 July 2018.
The award categories are:
- Centre of Excellence Award
- Excellence in Learner Support Award (open for nominations)
- Food Safety Award
- HACCP Award
- Health Improvement Award (open for nominations)
- Heggie Award
- Pest Management Award
- Young Health Champions Award (open for nominations)
The winners will be announced on Thursday 13 September at 28 Portland Place in London.
Winning a Hygeia Award is recognition of outstanding achievement. Past winners have used their award to increase their employment prospects, while recognition from peers in the workplace has also proved invaluable.
